Listeriosis in South Africa – Lessons Learned

Listeria monocytogenes outbreak with ready-to-eat meat products in South Africa has been recognized as the largest among the recorded Listeria outbreaks worldwide, with more than 1000 laboratory-confirmed cases (as of May 10) including approximately 200 deaths since the beginning of 2017.GMA SEF has partnered with IAFP to host a webinar on June 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM EST featuring Peter Embarek from the WHO and Henk C. den Bakker from the University of Georgia to review the outbreak in South Africa and share lessons learned.This webinar is made possible by a generous contribution from Ecolab.
